Ethan Beaulier, senior, Noble, sprints: Won both the 55-meter dash (6.61) and 200 (23.12) at the Class A state meet.

Jared Bell, senior, Deering, throws: Won the Class A shot put (51-111/2).

Jacob Buhelt, senior, Falmouth, sprints: Finished second at the Class B state meet in the 200 (23.38) and took fourth in the 55 (6.83).

Liam Campbell, senior, Greely, middle distance: One of the fastest distance runners in Class B, he placed second at states in the mile (4:36.93) and fourth in the 800 (2:04.28) behind a field of seniors.

Brady Foshay, senior, Cheverus, middle distance: The top returning half-miler in Class A. Finished third at the state meet last year (2:00.78).

Tyson Goodale, senior, Bonny Eagle, hurdles/jumps: The returning 55-meter hurdle champion (8.10) and the top returning long jumper. Goodale finished second in the long jump at the Class A state meet last year (20-81/2), and was third in the triple jump (41-10).

Alec James, senior, Scarborough, vault: The defending Class A pole vault champion (12-6).

Alex Nichols, senior, Brunswick, sprints: The Class A 400-meter defending champion (51.05), he also finished third in the 200 (23.44).

James Ociti, junior, Biddeford, sprints: After a strong sophomore year, Ociti will provide Nichols with competition in Class A in the 400. Ociti was fifth in the event at the states (52.38) behind Nichols and three seniors.

Denzel Tomaszewski, senior, Wells, sprints: Set the Class B record in the 55 meters (6.58), and is the second-fastest 200-meter returning runner after placing fifth at the state meet (23.90).

Ashley Belanger, senior, Biddeford, throws: Defending Class A champion in the shot put (35-111/2).

Samantha Cox, senior, Bonny Eagle, middle distance: Class A champ at 800 meters (2:21.96).

Kate Hall, sophomore, Lake Region, sprints/jumper: Completed a rare triple for freshmen by winning three events at the Class B state meet — 55 meters (7.27), 200 (26.33), and long jump (17-11/2).

Emily Heggie, senior, Fryeburg Academy, high jump: The front runner in the high jump in Class B (5-2).

Allison Hill, senior, Brunswick, hurdler: The top returning hurdler in Class A. Finished second in the state last year (8.64).

Carly McKenna, junior, Thornton Academy, high jump: State champion in Class A in the high jump (5-2).

Nyajock Pan, senior South Portland, middle distance: A contender in the 800 meters and mile in Class A. She finished third in both events, running 2:23.24 and 5:21.04, respectively.

Charlotte Pierce, senior, Thornton Academy, distance: The top returning miler in Class A after taking second at the state meet last year (5:20.26). Pierce also was fourth in the 2-mile (11:43.52).

Kirstin Sandreuter, Greely, junior, distance: Took second in the mile (5:10.23) and 2-mile (11:10.92) at the Class B state meet.

Audrey Weyand, junior, Bonny Eagle, sprints: Placed fourth in the 400 (60.04) and fifth in the 200 (27.25) at the Class A state meet last year. Should lead the SMAA in both events.
