ORONO – Tanna Ross hit a 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds remaining Sunday to lift the University of Maine to a 60-57 win over Maryland-Baltimore County in an America East women’s basketball game at Alfond Arena.

Maine (3-12, 1-0 America East) led 50-43 with six minutes left in a game that featured 13 lead changes. UMBC (7-8, 1-1) rallied and tied the game at 57 on a 3-pointer by Michelle Kurowski with less than 20 seconds remaining.

Ashleigh Roberts recorded her first double-double for the Black Bears with 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Katelyn Vanderhoff finished with 12 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Ali Nalivaika added 11 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

ST. JOSEPH’S 55, WESLEYAN 54: Megan McDevitt made a 3-pointer with five seconds left to lift the Monks (8-4) over the Cardinals (6-5) at Standish.

Ashley Geel scored 16 points for St. Joseph’s, Allie Parent added 11 points, and McDevitt made 3 of 4 from behind the 3-point line.
