GORHAM – Pitcher Julia Geaumont tripled, doubled twice and knocked in three runs Friday to lead Thornton Academy to a 13-2 victory against Gorham in a Southern Maine Activities Association softball game.

Geaumont struck out 12, issued no walks and allowed two runs on four hits against the Rams (2-1).

Michelle Cote hit a solo homer in the fourth inning for Thornton (3-0).

 

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Ally Boyington struck out eight and walked one to lead the Capers (2-1) over Gray-New Gloucester (2-2) at Cape Elizabeth.

Boyington allowed four hits and one unearned run.

Emily Donovan hit a two-run single, and Boyington and Ali Johnson followed with RBI singles in a four-run second inning.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, WESTBROOK 0: Alexis Bogdanovich struck out 12 in a two-hitter for South Portland (4-0) against the Blue Blazes (1-3) at Westbrook.

Bogdanovich, who walked one and hit a batter, had an RBI double in the first inning and an RBI single in the seventh.

Kayla Tibbetts of Westbrook gave up 12 hits, struck out six and walked none.

SCARBOROUGH 8, MARSHWOOD 0: Alyssa Williamson hit a two-run triple and Mo Hannan had a two-run double during a five-run sixth inning as the Red Storm (4-0) pulled away from the Hawks (1-3) at South Berwick.

Hannan, who finished with 10 strikeouts and four walks over six innings, also had another double.

Savannah Landis, Nicole O’Neil and Sammy Crosman each had a hit for Marshwood.

 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 6, WELLS 0: Sarah Harriman threw a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and two walks as the Raiders (4-0) downed Wells (1-2) at Fryeburg.

Maggie McConkey hit an RBI single and Ashley Watkins followed with a two-out, two-run double for Fryeburg in the first inning. Watkins finished with three RBI and three hits.

GEORGES VALLEY 13, BOOTHBAY REGION 0: Jesse Veilleux hit two home runs and Rachel Frye pitched a five-inning no-hitter for Georges Valley (2-0) against the Seahawks (0-2) at Thomaston.

Veilleux homered in the second and third innings, both with one on. Kelsie Thompson drove in three runs with a single and a triple.

 

CHEVERUS 10, DEERING 8: Jasmine Welch hit a three-run double to pace a six-run seventh inning as the visiting Stags (1-2) overcame an 8-4 deficit and beat the Rams (1-3) at Portland.

Caley Presby had a single, a triple and three RBI, and Sara Brink added two singles, a double and two RBI for Deering.

WINDHAM 13, PORTLAND 2: Logan Genest went 4 for 4 with a home run and three RBI to lead the Eagles (1-2) over Portland (0-3) at Windham.

Sarah Richards of Windham struck out 11, walked none and allowed five hits.

 

YARMOUTH 4, FREEPORT 0: Suzanne Driscoll had a single, two RBI and two stolen bases, and McKenzie Gray added a single and two runs to help the Clippers (3-0) down the Falcons (1-3) at Yarmouth.

Leigh Wyman held Yarmouth to two hits and a walk, but the Clippers took advantage of five errors and stole six bases.

Laura Klepinger and Gray combined on a six-hit shutout.

 

GREELY 25, YORK 0: Mykaela Twitchell hit a three-run homer during a 10-run third inning and also had an RBI triple as the Rangers (3-0) downed the Wildcats (0-4) at York.

Danielle Cimino added two doubles and three RBI.

 

BIDDEFORD 4, NOBLE 0: Sarah Gilblair struck out 13 and hit a two-run homer to lead Biddeford (4-0) over Noble (1-3) at North Berwick.

Gilblair gave up four hits and walked three.

Amber Kelly of Noble struck out six, walked two and allowed 10 hits.

 

KENNEBUNK 10, BONNY EAGLE 4: Hannah King drove in four runs with a single and a homer to lead the Rams (2-1) over Bonny Eagle (0-3) at Kennebunk.

Carinn Burns also homered and singled for two RBI.

SACOPEE VALLEY 14, POLAND 2: Sacopee Valley (3-0) scored eight runs in the third inning and defeated the Knights (0-4) in six innings at Poland.

Mackenzie Ross and Rachel Anderson had three hits apiece in Sacopee’s 16-hit offense.

CAPE ELIZABETH 5, MARSHWOOD 4: Laura Steidel tied it with 8:01 remaining, then scored the winner with 3:25 to play as the Capers (2-0) overcame deficits of 3-1 and 4-2 against the Hawks (2-1) at South Berwick.

Paris Bethel, Talley Perkins and Abby McInerney also scored for Cape Elizabeth.

Erica Sedler scored twice and Meghan Lewis made 10 saves for Marshwood. Janay Wright and Jillian Gori also had goals.

SANFORD 16, NOBLE 9: Brooke Peterson scored six goals and Nicole Bordeau added four for the Redskins (1-1), who cruised to an 11-2 halftime lead against the Knights (0-2) at North Berwick.

Noble, led by Chandler Waterman’s three goals, went on a 6-1 run to open the second half. Stephanie Ruger and Kayla Lambert had two goals each.

 

GORHAM 19, YORK 8: Mia Rapolla scored nine goals to lead Gorham (2-0) past the Wildcats (1-1) at York.

Lindsay Smith added six goals for the Rams.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 13, BRUNSWICK 6: Megan Fortier had four goals and an assist for the Panthers (2-1), who used a 6-0 run in the first half to erase a 3-2 deficit and pull away from the Dragons (2-2) at Brunswick.

Lilly Wellenbach added three goals and two assists.

 

CONY 16, GREELY 8: Chelsea Begin scored five goals and Mia Diplock added four to lead the Rams (2-1) past the Rangers (1-2) at Cumberland.

Teal Otley had two goals, and Audrey Parolin added a goal and three assists for Greely.
