GORHAM - Ryan Quinn's power-play goal with eight seconds remaining capped a three-goal rally in the final 1:30 as the University of New England earned a 3-2 win over Southern Maine in an ECAC East men's hockey game Saturday.
UNE (6-13-1) trailed 2-0 before Sam Vikich scored twice in a 48-second span after the Nor'easters pulled their goalie for an extra skater.
USM (6-15) got goals from Jamie Osborne in the first period and Demetri Sakaris early in the third.
BOWDOIN 5, HAMILTON 2: Daniel Weniger scored three times to lead the Polar Bears (17-2-1, 11-2-1 NESCAC) past the Continentals (5-12-3, 3-9-2) at Brunswick.
AMHERST 3, COLBY 3: Michael Smigelski scored twice for the Mules (4-13-3, 2-10-2 NESCAC), who used three goals in a span of 3:15 in the third period to pull even with the Jeffs (12-5-3, 8-4-2) at Waterville.
BOSTON COLLEGE 6, MAINE 3: Shawna Lesperance scored a pair of power-play goals for the Black Bears (4-19-3, 1-12-2 Hockey East) in a loss to the Eagles (20-4-2, 13-2-1) at Orono.
USM 2, ST. MICHAEL'S 1: Brittany Soar scored the go-ahead goal with 7:06 to play, lifting the Huskies (5-11-5, 4-7-3 ECAC East) over the Purple Knights (1-18-1, 1-15) at South Burlington, Vt.
Erin Banfield gave USM a 1-0 lead early in the third.
TRINITY 3, BOWDOIN 1: Kayte Holtz scored a tying power-play goal for the Polar Bears (14-4-2, 8-3-1 NESCAC) with 10:08 remaining, but Abby Ostrom scored just over two minutes later to give the Bantams (11-5-4, 6-3-3) the edge at Hartford, Conn.
SACRED HEART 7, UNE 0: Samantha Scobee made 43 saves for UNE (1-10) in a loss to the Pioneers (14-11-2) at Bridgeport, Conn.
UMBC 68, MAINE 67: Brian Neller made a 3-pointer with 0.5 seconds left to give the Retrievers (6-16, 4-5 America East) a win over the Black Bears (3-6, 8-14) at Baltimore.
Maine trailed 65-64 before Zarko Valijarevic made a 3-pointer with 6.7 seconds remaining. He finished with 20 points.
ST. JOSEPH'S 61, EMMANUEL 54: Nicholas Jobin scored 19 points, and the Monks (14-7, 9-5 GNAC) raced out to a 30-15 halftime lead in a win over the Saints (4-17, 4-10) at Standish.
Matthew Medeiros added 14 points for the Monks, who led by as many as 18 points.
KEENE STATE 88, SOUTHERN MAINE 80: Ryan Martin scored 18 points as the Owls (14-7, 7-3 Little East) rallied past the Huskies (13-8, 7-3) at Gorham.
Alex Kee and Conor Sullivan had 20 points apiece for USM, which led 46-39 at halftime.
BATES 72, TRINITY 55: Mark Brust scored 16 points to lead four players in double figures as the Bobcats (9-13, 3-6 NESCAC) beat the Bantams (8-13, 2-6) at Hartford, Conn.
Luke Matarazzo added 14 points and Graham Safford scored 12 for Bates, which led 32-22 at halftime.
Mick DiStasio of Yarmouth finished with 12 points for Trinity.
WILLIAMS 76, BOWDOIN 64: Danielle Wohl scored eight points in overtime for the Ephs (20-2, 8-0 NESCAC), who closed out the game with a 15-0 run against the Polar Bears (12-8, 3-5) at Brunswick.
Matt Mathias led Bowdoin with 20 points, including five 3-pointers. Bryan Hurley had 14 assists.
MIDDLEBURY 85, COLBY 62: Chris Hudnut scored 15 points for the Mules (6-15, 2-6 NESCAC) in a loss to the Panthers (19-1, 8-0 NESCAC) at Waterville.
ROGER WILLIAMS 67, UNE 64: Mike Igoe scored 19 points and the Seahawks (7-14, 4-10 Commonwealth Coast) took control with a 19-2 second-half run against the Nor'easters (4-17, 3-11) at Bristol, R.I.
Devin Thompson led UNE with 19 points. Jesse Dykstra scored 13.
UMAINE-MACHIAS 71, SOUTHERN MAINE C.C. 60: Elias Gutierrez scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Clippers (10-10, 7-7 YSCC) rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit against the Seawolves (18-8, 11-3) at South Portland.
Jon Amabile led the Seawolves with 14 points. Emmanuel Donalson scored 13.
UNE 65, ROGER WILLIAMS 56: Meghan Gribbin scored 17 points and the Nor'easters (17-4, 13-0 Commonwealth Coast) went on a 27-16 run over the final 11 minutes to pull away from the Hawks (14-7, 10-4) at Bristol, R.I.
Beth Suggs added 15 points and eight rebounds for UNE, which matched the longest winning streak in school history with its 12th straight victory.
UMBC 86, MAINE 79: Danielle Walczak finished with career-high totals of 28 points and 12 rebounds, but the Black Bears (2-20, 1-8 America East) fell to the Retrievers (7-15, 3-6) at Orono.
Liz Wood added 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Black Bears.
USM 58, KEENE STATE 56: Haley Jordan hit a tying jump shot with 32 seconds left and Erin McNamara sank two free throws with 14 seconds remaining to lift the Huskies (20-1, 9-1 Little East) over the Owls (7-13, 2-8) at Gorham.
Jordan finished with 15 points, and Rebecca Knight had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
EMMANUEL 55, ST. JOSEPH'S 47: Morgan Cahill scored 18 points to pace the Monks (12-9, 6-3 GNAC) in a loss to the Saints (16-5, 8-0) at Standish.
WILLIAMS 50, BOWDOIN 42: Claire Baecher of Brunswick scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Ephs (18-4, 7-1 NESCAC) past the Polar Bears (12-9, 3-5) at Brunswick.
Kaitlin Donahoe finished with 22 points for Bowdoin, which led 21-15 at halftime.
BATES 82, TRINITY 77: Allie Beaulieu made five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to pace the Bobcats (11-10, 4-5 NESCAC) to a win over the Bantams (13-8, 4-4) at Hartford, Conn.
Taryn O'Connell and Molly Brown added 15 points apiece.
MIDDLEBURY 52, COLBY 48: Scarlett Kirk scored 20 points as the Panthers (11-10, 3-5 NESCAC) held off the Mules (7-14, 1-7) at Waterville.
Carylanne Wolfington led Colby with 13 points.
SOUTHERN MAINE C.C. 83, UMAINE-MACHIAS 64: Nyalieb Deng collected 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Seawolves (14-7, 8-3 YSCC) to a win over the Clippers (14-6, 10-2) at South Portland.
Jaimi Poland scored 15 points and Alicia Hoyt finished with 14 for the Seawolves.
