SOUTH HIRAM - Kevin Kanakan and Peabo Knoth each had a goal and two assists Wednesday to help Coach Brandon Salway reach a milestone as Waynflete downed Sacopee Valley 8-0 in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy soccer game.
Salway collected his 200th career soccer coaching victory. He also reached 200 wins coaching basketball last winter.
The Flyers improved to 5-0. Sacopee Valley is 0-4.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 10, WELLS 2: D.J. Nicholas and Jacob Scammon each had three goals as the Panthers (4-3-1) handled the Warriors (2-5) at Yarmouth.
Nicholas also had two assists and Scammon had one. Jackson Cohen-Smith added a goal and two assists, and Matt Hawkins, Forrest Chicoine and Aidan McLaughlin scored for NYA.
YORK 5, LAKE REGION 0: Fran Mendoza had two goals and an assist to lead the Wildcats (4-0-1) past the Lakers (0-4) at Naples.
GREELY 5, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Ted Hart had three goals and Elijah Leverett stopped three shots as the Rangers (4-1) topped the Raiders (1-3-1) at Fryeburg.
Liam Campbell and Mitchell Donovan also scored for Greely.
DEERING 3, BONNY EAGLE 0: Kiana DiBiase and Riley Turner each had a goal and an assist for the Rams (4-3) against the Scots (1-4-1) at Portland.
DiBiase set up Amanda LeMoult on the opening goal in the first half before finishing a pass from Turner in the second half. Turner got the final goal unassisted.
MARSHWOOD 6, BIDDEFORD 1: Ashley Hickey scored twice, and Hailey Bruno-Moulton had a goal and four assists to lead Marshwood (7-2) over the Tigers (2-4-2) at Biddeford.
Sammy Crosman and Ashley Tice also had goals for the Hawks. Taylor Turgeon answered for the Tigers.
WINDHAM 0, PORTLAND 0: Andrea Feeney made five saves for the Eagles (1-6-1) and Gianna Gaudet had seven for the Bulldogs (0-6-1) at Portland.
MASSABESIC 3, KENNEBUNK 1: Jacqueline Guillemette scored two late goals, including the winner with 2:24 left for the Mustangs (7-1) against the Rams (3-4) at Kennebunk.
Jackie Murphy of Kennebunk tied it about one minute earlier.
WESTBROOK 1, SANFORD 0: Ally Lemay scored a first-half goal and Nicole Miranda made eight saves to lead Westbrook (5-2) over the Spartans (6-3) at Sanford.
Taylor Zuk stopped 10 shots for Sanford.
SOUTH PORTLAND 10, MCAULEY 0: Kristina Salasia had four goals and four assists as the Red Riots (2-6) beat McAuley (0-9) at South Portland.
Kirsten Kane and Elizabeth Albert each had two goals and an assist, and Lani Edwards needed one save for the shutout. Akech Alloding had 17 saves for the Lions.
THORNTON ACADEMY 4, NOBLE 1: Morgan Dube scored four goals to lead the Golden Trojans (4-3) past the Knights (1-6-1) at Saco.
Lauren Russell had two assists for Thornton. Alaina Shorey scored for Noble.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Olivia Dubois scored with seven minutes left to lift the Seagulls (4-1-1) over the Panthers (1-5) at Old Orchard Beach.
After Abigail Dubois gave Old Orchard a first-half lead, Lizzie Lewis tied it with 20 minutes left in the game.
SANFORD 7, WESTBROOK 2: Hannah Kallis and Morgan Fogg each had two goals and two assists to help the Spartans (6-0) down the Blue Blazes (1-4) at Sanford.
Rachel Fink broke a 1-1 tie 15 seconds into the second half, the first of four unanswered Sanford goals.
SCARBOROUGH 3, GORHAM 2: The Red Storm (5-1) rallied from two sets down to defeat the Rams (5-1) at Gorham.
Lexi Merrifield had five blocks, 13 kills, four aces and 14 service points for Gorham. Kaitlyn Seehusen finished with 16 digs, 21 assists, two kills, seven blocks and seven service points. Lindsay Chapman had 17 digs, 13 kills and 11 blocks.
CAPE ELIZABETH 3, KENNEBUNK 2: Cape Elizabeth (1-3) took a 7-1 lead and coasted to a 15-5 victory in the fifth set against the Rams (1-5) at Kennebunk.
Cape, trailing 24-20, used solid serving to rally for a 28-26 win in the first set, then had 10 consecutive points to put the second set out of reach early. Kennebunk won the next two sets with solid net play by Hannah Johnson and Madi Thompson.
