WINDHAM – Calvin Field singled home Joey Francoeur, then scored on Jack Herzig’s double Thursday as the unbeaten Windham Merchants used a two-run sixth inning to rally to an 8-7 victory over Bethel in a Zone 3 American Legion game.

Windham (7-0), trailing 2-1, used a bases-loaded triple by Field to score five times in the fourth.

But Alec Manning and Jesse Bennett each stroked two-run singles as Telstar (2-3) countered with a five-run sixth to take a 7-6 lead.

BIDDEFORD-SACO SAVINGS 6, MASSABESIC 4: Taylor Reuillard hit a three-run homer in the third inning for Biddeford-Saco Savings (4-2) at Biddeford.

Patrick Wilson pitched six innings with four strikeouts and three walks for the winners.

Casey Nava and Brian Wardwell had two hits and an RBI each for Massabesic, which totaled 12 hits.

FAYETTE-STAPLES 7, NOBLE 2: Campbell Jackman drove in three runs to pace Thornton Academy at Saco.

Thornton scored four runs in the first inning; Campbell drove in two with a single and Justin Cloutier brought in another with a sacrifice fly.

Josh Hill pitched four innings for the win. Hill gave up three hits, two unearned runs and walked three. Drew Gelinas finished the game, giving up two hits with a strikeout and two walks.

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, BRISTOL SEAFOOD 2: Nicholas Whitten doubled in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning as South Portland (2-4) downed Deering (3-3) at Portland.

Whitten also gave up nine hits to go with six strikeouts and a walk.

South Portland led 2-0 in the top of the sixth. Dan Marzilli tied it with a two-run single in the bottom of the inning.

SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 1, STANDISH POST 0: Keenan Lowe struck out 10, walked two and gave up one hit through six innings to lead Westbrook over Bonny Eagle (2-3) at Standish.

Lowe gave up a single to Max Salevsky in the first inning.

Aaron Stauble led off the fourth inning with a double, moved to third on a sacrifice fly and scored on a passed ball.

Kyle Labrecque of Bonny Eagle struck out eight and hit two batters.

MOODY’S COLLISON 6, FIRST TITLE OF MAINE 0: Damon Wallace allowed just a first-inning single to Drew Ferrick, striking out eight and holding Cheverus (1-4) to the one hit at Portland.

Gorham opened the scoring with a four-run second inning. Spencer LaPierre tripled home Dillon Turner and also scored.

SACO BAY PT 4, STAPLES CROSSING 4: At York, Marshwood and York-Wells played to a 4-4 tie in a game that was called after five innings.

Adam Bailey of York-Wells struck out five, walked six and gave up five hits. Deion Stewart struck out five and Al McLean struck out three for Staples Crossing.

JUNIOR LEGION

LIBBY-MITCHELL 2, CUMBERLAND 0: Sam Warren pitched a two-hit shutout to lead Libby-Mitchell at Scarborough.

Brendan Kane led off the bottom of the first inning with a double, went to third on Tim Ross’ single, then scored when Ross got caught in a rundown between first and second. Warren then scored on an error in the sixth.

POST 86 6, WINDHAM MERCHANTS 2: Tyler St. Pierre struck out 11 for Gray-New Gloucester (6-3), holding Windham (2-5) to four hits at Gray.

Evan Harmer lined a two-run single during a five-run fifth inning that gave Gray-New Gloucester a 6-2 lead.

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, SCHWARTZ & SCHWARTZ 1: Sam Troiano and Drew Abramson scored as South Portland (4-3) took advantage of mistakes to break a 1-1 tie with a two-run third inning against Deering (0-8) at South Portland.

Griffin Kelly, Ben Conte and Nick Troiano combined to strike out eight, holding Deering to six hits.

WESTBROOK 4, STANDISH POST 2: Bailey Sawyer drove in the winning run with a double in the sixth inning as Westbrook (4-3) downed visiting Standish Post (2-6).

Jack McCullough followed with an RBI single. McCullough was 3 for 3.

Parker Chabot of Westbrook pitched a three-hitter with four strikeouts and a walk.

FALMOUTH POST 4, BRUNO’S 3: Reece Armitage struck out seven and walked four to lead Falmouth Post (4-3) over visiting Bruno’s (4-2).

Hogan Tracy drove in Rob Armitage with the winning run with a single in the sixth inning. Cam Guarino provided a two-run single in the fifth as Falmouth tied it with three runs.

CHASE CUSTOM HOMES 8, FIRST TITLE 4: Cam Smith pitched six innings with 11 strikeouts and five hits to lead Gorham (8-1) over visiting Cheverus (3-5).

Mike Chapin had three RBI on three singles.

THE OLD Orchard Beach Raging Tide had a game against the Seacoast Mavericks suspended due to rain.

The Mavericks led 2-0 when the game was called at Portsmouth, N.H.

NECBL

MOUNTAINEERS 2, MAINERS 1: Mike Triller hit an RBI single in the third inning and Kenny Towns added an RBI double in the sixth to lead visiting Vermont (11-4) to an eight-inning win over Sanford (7-7).

The game was called due to rain with one out and a Sanford runner on second in the bottom of the eighth.
