CUMBERLAND – Grant Burfeind scored all of his 11 points in the first quarter Tuesday night as Falmouth pulled away early and went on to beat Greely 68-45 in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy basketball game.

Falmouth (11-0) led 28-12 after the first quarter.

Jackson Simonds led the Yachtsmen with 20 points. Charles Fay added 15.

Michael McDevitt paced the Rangers (7-4) with 18 points. Bailey Train scored 11.

 

BONNY EAGLE 61, WINDHAM 47: Dustin Cole scored a game-high 28 points and dished out seven assists to lift the Scots (9-2) over the Eagles (3-8) at Standish.

Ben Malloy added 10 points and 10 rebounds, and C.J. Autry also scored 10 for Bonny Eagle, which led 33-23 at halftime.

Dylan Weisser scored 13 points and Spencer Hodge added 10 for Windham.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 64, MARSHWOOD 48: Jack Tolan scored 15 points, Tanner Hyland added 14, Ben Burkey 13 and Jaren Muller 10 as the Red Riots (9-2) defeated the Hawks (3-8) at South Portland.

Brady Dodge led Marshwood with 16 points. Brady Innes finished with 13.

WESTBROOK 69, GORHAM 53: Zack Bean and Keenan Lowe scored 19 points each to help Westbrook (9-2) defeat the Rams (4-7) at Gorham.

The Blue Blazes scored 23 points at the foul line: David Breunig was 8 of 8 and finished with 14 points, and Lowe was 7 of 8.

Elliott Spiers led Gorham with 14 points, Brian Darling added 13 and Alex Owens 10.

 

BOOTHBAY REGION 59, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 46: Anthony DiMauro scored 19 points to lead Boothbay Region (10-1) over the Mustangs (4-6) at Monmouth.

John Hepburn added 13 and Lincoln Simmons 12 for the Seahawks. Brandon Goff scored 16 and Bill Cummings 13 for Monmouth.

CAPE ELIZABETH 53, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 48: Chad Peterson sank a field goal, and Ethan Murphy and Henry Babcock converted three free throws each during an 8-5 run in overtime as the Capers (9-2) downed the Raiders (3-8) at Cape Elizabeth.

After Peterson’s basket provided a 47-45 lead in overtime, the Capers used foul shooting to push the lead to 51-45 before Walker-James Mallory sank a 3-pointer to make it make it a one-possession game with 28 seconds left. But Cape then sank its final two free throws.

Babcock finished with 16 points and Chris Robicheaw 15 for Cape Elizabeth. Jaquan Causer scored 16, and Bright Amoako and Mallory added 11 each for Fryeburg.

 

DEERING 54, SCARBOROUGH 50: Labson Abwoch scored nine of his 12 points in the second quarter as Deering (10-1) used a 21-11 run to open a 28-18 halftime lead against Scarborough (6-5) at Portland.

Liam Densmore and Dominic Lauture led Deering with 13 points each. Sam Terry scored 14, Brendan Hall 13 and Kevin Manning 11 for the Red Storm.

 

YORK 68, POLAND 39: Aaron Todd had 18 points for the Wildcats (9-1), who scored the first nine points and cruised past the Knights (2-8) at Poland.

Zach Leal chipped in with 14 points and Hayden Webster added 12 for York, which led 17-5 at the end of the first quarter.

C.J. Martin made four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points for Poland.

A.R. GOULD 58, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 57: Zacharia Mohamed made a 3-pointer with six seconds left to break a 55-55 tie and lift the Bears (6-4) over the Guardians (5-5) at South Berwick.

Tim Robertson led the Bears with 14 points; Mohamed finished with 13, including three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.

Isaac LaCroix led Seacoast with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

 

WAYNFLETE 62, YARMOUTH 38: Serge Nyirikamba scored 19 points to lead Waynflete (10-1) over the Clippers (5-6) at Yarmouth.

The Flyers, who led 29-14 at the half, also got 15 points from Jack Cutler and 14 from Paul Runyambo.

Adam LaBrie scored 14 points and David Murphy 13 for Yarmouth.

 

WISCASSET 69, HALL-DALE 64: Wiscasset (6-4) held off a comeback by Hall-Dale (6-4) in the fourth quarter at Farmingdale.

Austin Haskell led the Wolverines with 22 points. Chandler Longfellow scored 16 and Travis Padilla 15.

Mike Woods led Hall-Dale with 27 points; Wesley Lapointe scored 16.

MT. ARARAT 58, MT. BLUE 38: Mt. Ararat (5-6) used a 20-4 run in the third quarter to take control against Mt. Blue (0-10) at Farmington.

Shyheim Ulrickson led Mt. Ararat with 22 points. Kindle Bonsall had 13 points for Mt. Blue.

 

MASSABESIC 51, KENNEBUNK 50: Noah Gerry’s two free throws were the difference as the Mustangs (1-10) slipped past Kennebunk (1-10) in double-overtime at Waterboro.

Gerry’s free throws gave Massabesic a 51-48 lead, and proved decisive when Austin Sandler’s basket pulled the Rams within one.

Gerry finished with 15 points and Cale Thornton 13 for Massabesic. Sandler scored 16 and Ben Wilson 12 for Kennebunk.

WELLS 80, TRAIP ACADEMY 65: Jake Moody scored 22 points for the Warriors (8-4), who took a 26-8 first-quarter lead and cruised past the Rangers (4-6) at Kittery.

Chris Carney chipped in with 18 points and Dylan Stevens 16 for Wells.

Chris Czachor paced Traip with 22 points.

 

WATERVILLE 56, LEAVITT 45: Chris Hale had 22 points as the Panthers (6-5) beat the Hornets (3-8) at Waterville.

Jordan Derosby added 17 points, J.P. Michaud had seven points and eight rebounds, and Josh Gormley seven assists for Waterville.

Isaiah Calder had 14 points and Mitchell Davis 11 for Leavitt.

 

WINSLOW 67, MT. VIEW 40: Trevor Lovely scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Raiders (9-2) past the Mustangs (1-9) at Thorndike.

Nason Lanphier added 16 points, eight assists and six steals for Winslow. Austin Ireland had eight points and 10 rebounds, amd Justin Martin added eight points and 11 rebounds.

Steven Davis had 21 points for Mt. View.

 

VALLEY 54, GREENVILLE 44: Carrington Miller scored 20 points for Valley (9-2), which made 8 of 10 foul shots in the fourth quarter to beat the Lakers (6-4) at Greenville.
