CAPE ELIZABETH – Cape Elizabeth erased a 19-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but York recovered in overtime to escape with a 59-51 victory in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game Friday night.

York (14-2) built a 26-16 halftime lead and started the third quarter with a 10-0 run. Ahead 43-24 after three, the Wildcats pulled their starters and Cape (8-8) took advantage, outscoring York 22-3 in the fourth. Hannah Sawyer made three 3-pointers during the comeback and finished with 21 points.

Ruby Cribby scored the go-ahead basket in overtime, and York made 7 of 11 free throws to close out the victory.

Emily Campbell and Shannon Todd had 10 points each for York.

FALMOUTH 36, WELLS 35: Ally Hickey sank the go-ahead basket with 10 seconds left and scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter as Falmouth (8-8) rallied from a 29-22 deficit at Wells (6-10).

The Yachtsmen finished on a 9-2 run.

Alison Furness scored 22 points for the Warriors.

FREEPORT 54, TRAIP ACADEMY 27: Nina Davenport scored 15 points, and Leigh Wyman added 11 points, six rebounds and four assists as the Falcons (10-6) downed the Rangers (5-11) at Freeport.

Freeport raced out to a 23-5 first-quarter lead behind eight points from Wyman.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 49, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 26: Haylee Cote tallied 18 points to lead the Raiders (12-4) over the Patriots (3-13) at Fryeburg.

Julia Martell added nine points for the Patriots.

Skye Dole paced Fryeburg with 11 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 61, SACOPEE VALLEY 40: Christina Colman scored 19 points, including three 3-pointers, to spark the Seagulls (12-4) past the Hawks (8-8) at South Hiram.

Abby Dubois added 16 points and Daphne Allen contributed 10.

Morgan Sanborn scored 13 for Sacopee.

WAYNFLETE 75, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 25: Martha Veroneau scored 16 points and the visiting Flyers (12-3) built a 44-point halftime lead against the Panthers (3-12) at Yarmouth.

Anne Veroneau had 14 points and Rhiannan Jackson chipped in 12 for Waynflete, which led 26-2 after one quarter and 51-7 at the half.

Mallory Ianno scored 11 points and Chloe Leishman finished with eight for NYA.

POLAND 58, YARMOUTH 50: Melora Lavoie had 12 points and eight rebounds, and Emily Bolduc finished with 10 points, six assists and nine steals to help the host Knights (6-10) get by the Clippers (1-15).

Brittina Maheux added 13 points and Michaella Arsenault had 12 for Poland.

Sean Cahill scored 16 points for Yarmouth. Lane Simsarian had 15.

SCARBOROUGH 57, BONNY EAGLE 50: Ashley Briggs scored 15 points to lead the Red Storm (13-3) past the Scots (5-11) at Standish.

Maria Philbrick and Mary Redmond added 12 points apiece.

Shannon Sanborn scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Bonny Eagle. Samantha Maxfield had 12 points.

DEERING 53, GORHAM 37: Chelsea Saucier scored 16 points to lead four Deering players in double figures at Gorham.

Keneisha DiRamio had 12 points, and Marissa MacMillan and Alexis Stephenson added 10 apiece for Deering (15-1), which outscored Gorham 31-18 in the second half.

Kristin Ross had 16 points for Gorham (9-7).

SANFORD 52, BIDDEFORD 27: Shelby Paiement scored seven of her 14 points in the third quarter as the Spartans (10-6) used a 15-3 run to take a 35-15 lead at Biddeford (4-12).

Sanford also got 15 points from Heather LeBlanc and 13 from Taylor Littlefield.

MCAULEY 67, WESTBROOK 37: Allie Clement scored 15 points for the Lions (16-0), who raced out to a 21-8 first-quarter lead on the way to a victory over the Blue Blazes (1-15) at Westbrook.

Sarah Clement added 14 points and Victoria Lux scored 13.

Westbrook was led by Emily Blackmore with 11 points.

SOUTH PORTLAND 76, NOBLE 33: Hope Owen scored 16 points and Brianne Maloney had 13 to pace the Red Riots (12-4) against the visiting Knights (1-15).

Noble scored the first basket, but South Portland followed with a 39-0 run extending through most of the second quarter. Maloney scored 10 points in the first quarter and started the second with a 3-pointer.

MARSHWOOD 54, KENNEBUNK 30: Abby Hyson and Megan McLean each scored nine points to lead the Hawks (7-9) past the Rams (2-14) at South Berwick.

Eleven players scored for Marshwood, which jumped out to a 21-4 first-quarter lead.

Olivia Snyder had 12 points for Kennebunk.

RICHMOND 76, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 21: Jamie Plummer scored 23 points and the Bobcats (13-2) held the visiting Lions (10-4) to single digits in each quarter.

Kelsea Anair added 14 points and Ciarra Lancaster had 11 for Richmond.

Clarissa Jones scored eight points for the Lions.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 62, LISBON 18: Emily Keene scored 13 points for the Phoenix (16-0), who took control with a 25-8 second-quarter run against the Greyhounds (5-11) at Livermore Falls.

Samantha Richards and Nicole Hamblin added 10 points apiece for Spruce Mountain. Richards also had seven rebounds and eight steals, and Hamblin collected six assists.

OXFORD HILLS 60, ERSKINE ACADEMY 31: Mikayla Morin had 12 points and Abbie Eastman added 10 to lead the Vikings (11-5) at South Paris.

Tianna Sugars chipped in with 10 points for Oxford Hills.
