Nicole Lukoki works on the pockets of a button down shirt during sewing class on Thursday, November 15, 2018. The classes, which were started by Dory Richards Waxman, owner of Old Port Wool & Textile Co, are comprised mostly of immigrants and refugees, who are there to acquire the skills they need to be placed in jobs at local textile companies. Lukoki is originally from Angola and has been living in Maine for two years.
