Note to squirrel on the left: That’s a great black hawk enjoying itself – and receiving so much attention – at Deering Oaks in Portland. Further note to squirrel: Black hawks are raptors that feast on, well, squirrels. Curious or stupid, the squirrel lived to see another day, possibly because the hawk had already enjoyed its fill.
