I’ve lived in Pine Point all my life. I feel that it would not be of good interest for the town to swap land for the three-story conversion plan of the Lighthouse Motel.
On Feb. 4 a statement made by the town manager said that a land swap is not essential for the conversion.
The Pine Point Road extension has been there since Pine Point was put on the map, and I feel it should remain there as a public drop-off and walkway to the beach.
In all my years in Pine Point I cannot recall a single accident at that location, but with the parking of year-round condo residents and their guests there very well could be problems. Now their busiest time is just two months, July and August.
Let’s keep Pine Point as it is for all to enjoy.
