A recent Benefit for Katrina Victims co-sponsored by the Lake Region Eagles #4352 and the Down East Country Music Association was held at the Lake Region Eagles club Sunday, Oct. 16. After a full day of stellar musical entertainment – all provided for free by award winning DECMA artists – a wonderful buffet, raffles and auctions provided by local businesses and individual donations, and time donated by guest personality, Kenny Tibbetts ( D.J. from WUBB) – the club raised $1827 which was given to the Salvation Army to be immediately used to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.
