Library

On display now through December 17 is a beautiful collection of paperweights from Betty Winslow. She has been collecting them for 15 years. She enjoys collecting all paperweights since they are small and can be purchased anywhere in her travels. Do stop by the Windham Public Library to view this wonderful collection. The library is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday; and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Birthday

Win Strout celebrated his birthday November 12. He enjoyed dinner at a local restaurant with family members.

Paintings

There will be a sale of Pat Riley’s paintings plus cards, pins, bookmarks and magnets at her studio on Gray Road Nov. 18, 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Do some holiday shopping with a local artist.

Visits

Roger Barto and his sons James and Jacob visited with Betty Barto the weekend of the Nov. 12. Roger resides in Winter Harbor. While here they did some chores around the house for Betty with some help from friends.

Birthday Party

Joanne and Lew Weatherby hosted a surprise 30th birthday party Nov. 12 for her niece, Susan Day. Her actual birthday was November 17. Many co-workers and friends attended as well as the following family members: her husband, Steve Day; sister Alesha, Corey and Madison Buzzell; grandparents, Paul and Betty Estes; her father, Steve Estes; brother, Kyle Estes and her sister-in-law Robin and Jim Fortney. Her aunt, Joanne, wrote a special poem for the occasion and gave her a framed copy. Everyone enjoyed the great food and the birthday cake. A good time was had by all.

Historical Society

The Windham Historical Society is opened now only by appointment. If you would like to visit the society call Betty Winslow, the president, at 842-4062 or Kay Soldier at 892-1166 or after 6 p.m. at 892-5381.

50th Birthday party

There was a 50th birthday party for Peter Morrell on Nov. 9. His real birthdate is November 10. His mother, Josie Morrell gave the party. Those helping him celebrate were: Kimberly Morrell, Dana Morrell,his brother John Morrell, Kathy Gilman and Britney of Casco, his sister Martha and John Poland, Jamie and Chelsi Parker, Nathalie Lombard and Jeanie McKay. They enjoyed dinner and a birthday cake.
