The 2005 Scarborough Soccer Club U13 travel team

The Scarborough Soccer Club U13 travel team won its second-straight state title in Yarmouth Sunday, Nov. 6.

Their semifinal match was a back-and-forth struggle with their toughest competitor of the season, Falmouth.

Destiny scored first when Kim Bernard beat her defender and served a perfect cross to Emma Bagley for the finish. Falmouth scored to tie the match at one and

send it into overtime. With no scoring in double overtime they went to PKs.

With scores from Margaret Palmer, Cortney Hughes, Tori Armishaw, and the winner from Emilia Sheemaker, and outstanding goalkeeping by Jill Deering, Destiny advanced to the finals with Windham.
