Scarborough’s boys had a number of excellent performances during Saturday’s SMAA meet at the Expo, most notably from Brecht Moulin and Brian Van Dam.

The Red Storm collected 97.5 points, good for a strong second place in the 11-team field. Bonny Eagle won the meet with 126.5. South Portland finished eighth with 35.83 points.

Moulin won the junior 40 and the junior 600. In addition, he ran a leg on the victorious 4 x 140 junior relay.

Teammate Brian Van Dam broke the tape in the open 400 and finished in a dead heat for first with Gorham’s Justin Villacci in the intermediate 40.

Scarborough’s Tyler Nelson topped the field in the mile, and James Mina won the senior 40 and finished fourth in the senior 300.

Chris Harmon was runner-up in the open 800, while Phil Lambert took fourth in the open 200 and Ben Violette was fifth in the junior 600.

South Portland’s Tom McCoubrey won the shot put, while teammate Alex Gato took third in the high jump and fifth in the senior hurdles.
