The Lions Club folds the American flag following the Memorial Day parade and ceremony in Cape Elizabeth Monday morning.Cape Elizabeth’s Memorial Day Parade started out with laughter as marchers tossed tootsie rolls and gum to excited children on the sidelines and ended in tears with the reading of the famous war memorial poem In Flanders Field. Parade spectator Emma Rose Stancliff, 3, of Rockland joins the Cape Elizabeth Brownie troop who marched in Monday’s Memorial Day Parade. Stancliff’s grandparent’s Candy and Greg Devou, originally from Cape brought Emma Rose to her first parade.
