The Mollyockett Chorus, a local chapter of Sweet Adelines International, has a busy schedule in the coming weeks. On July 17 at 7 p.m. they will appear in the Poland Spring Preservation Society’s Summer Concert Series in the All Souls Chapel. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; admission is $5.
The chorus will sing a varied program including show tunes, love songs, old favorites, and patriotic songs in four-part, unaccompanied harmony, barbershop style. The program will also feature two quartets, “Four on a Match” and “Meant to Be.” For more information about the Poland Spring Concert Series call 998-4142.
On July 20 and July 21, the Mollyockett Chorus will present three performances at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Foundation in Greene. Performance times are 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, July 21. Admission is free. This show will have a “Camp Mollyockett” theme and will include some lighthearted humor along with a rich line-up of songs by the chorus and quartets.
