The Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors earned a 2-1 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a Little East Conference field hockey game Wednesday in Mansfield, Conn.
The loss halts the Huskies three-game win-streak and drops their record to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in the Little East.
Southern Maine got on the board late, notching its lone goal of the game with one minute remaining when sophomore forward Caitlin Albert (Scarborough) rocketed in her fourth goal of the season.
Southern Maine out shot Eastern Connecticut 12-9, but had two would-be goals called back. Southern Maine freshman goalkeeper Allie Hill (Cape Elizabeth) made six saves in the loss.
