On Sept. 29, at about 4:20 p.m., an Ocean House Road resident reported that mail that he had placed in his mailbox was stolen before the mailman arrived.
Brentwood burglary
On Sept. 30, at about 8:43 a.m., a Brentwood Road area resident reported a burglary in the garage. Stolen were a videocassette recorder, a 13-inch color television and a blue Gary Fisher mountain bike.
Jewels found
On Oct. 3, at about 9:35 a.m., an officer met with an individual who had found a medium-sized trash bag full of jewelry at the old main-gate entrance to Fort Williams. Inside the bag was a range of jewelry with values ranging from $5 to $60. Area police departments were notified of the incident.
Vehicle burgled
On Oct. 6, at about 11:10 a.m., a Bowery Beach Road area resident reported a motor vehicle burglary that occurred the night before. Stolen was a purse containing $25 cash, a debit card, car keys and a digital camera.
Vehicle burgled II
On Oct. 8, at about 1:45 p.m., a Mitchell Road area resident reported a motor vehicle burglary that occurred the previous night. Stolen was a wallet that contained $200 cash, an ATM card and miscellaneous credit cards.
Forgotten address
On Oct. 8, at about 6:15 p.m., an elderly woman was found on the Bowery Beach Road and transported to the police station by a Bowery Beach Road area resident. The woman appeared confused and uncertain of her home address. She was wearing an Alzheimer’s ID bracelet with a hotline number. A call placed to the number identified the woman’s residence, and she was returned home.
Summonses
Oct. 5
June Gillis, 74, of 376 Black Point Road, Scarborough, was issued a summons on Scott Dyer Road for speeding 24 mph in a 15 mph zone.
Bonnie Steinroeder, 49, of 1 Gateledge Drive, was issued a summons on Hill Way for failing to stop for stop sign.
Oct. 6
A 16-year-old male, of Cape Elizabeth, was issued a summons on Two Lights Road for a violation of an interim license.
Oct. 9
Donald Verger, 58, of 34 Waterview Road, Casco, was issued a summons on Shore Road for speeding 44 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Christopher DeGregory, 30, of 340 Sawyer St., South Portland, was issued a summons on Sawyer Road for an unregistered motor vehicle.
Arrests
Oct. 5
Adam R. Gay, of 40 Smith St., South Portland, was arrested on Sawyer Road on charges of OUI and operating with an expired license for more than 90 days.
Cape Fire and Rescue
The Cape rescue squad responded to 11 calls between Oct. 3 and Oct. 9. Six patients were transported to Maine Medical Center, three were transported to Mercy Hospital and two required no transport.
The Cape Fire Department responded to report that wires were sparking on Shore Road at 9:54 a.m. on Oct. 3; a person in distress on Mare’s Hollow Road at 2:55 p.m. on Oct. 3; and a gas spill on Ocean House Road at 5:42 p.m. on Oct. 10.
