Many have heard of the Matter of Balance program that helps those who may be a little unsteady cope with preventing falls. This is a real concern for many of us senior citizens, especially as winter (and ice) approaches.

A note from Southern Maine Agency on Aging announces a series of exercises at Unity Gardens on Tandberg Trail in North Windham.

These exercises are for Fall Prevention and they will be on Thursdays, Nov. 30, Dec. 14 and Dec. 28 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Why not make a day of it and enjoy lunch at noon. If you plan to stay for lunch, please call 48 hours ahead of time and let Virginia Billings know, at 892-3891.

Keep an eye on this page, as updates on this and other helpful programs, will appear as soon as we are notified.

Five new Matter of Balance coaches have recently completed the training course and plans now call for beginning some groups in the Casco/Bridgton area in March.
