Christmas at First Parish – Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., First Parish Congregational Church, UCC, 1 Church St., Gorham. Sleigh rides, Santa Claus, silent auction, knit items, jewelry, baked goods, toys, candy, greens, ornaments, books, crafts and face painting. Quiche luncheon.

Holiday fair – Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., West Cumberland Methodist Church, corner of Upper Methodist and Blackstrap roads, Cumberland. White elephant table, pickles, patchwork, dolls, jewelry and wreaths. Fish chowder lunch, sandwiches and home baked goods.

Book and bake sale – Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., St. Alban’s Church, 885 Shore Road, Cape Elizabeth. Thousands of gently used fiction and non-fiction books including hardcover, softcover, kids books, records and books on tape. Homemade casseroles, soups, cookies, pies, cakes and more.

Tables include graphic art, jewelry crafters, greens and boxwood table centerpiece, Christmas crafts, Rada cutlery, bake and fudge table, Grandma’s attic and raffles. Luncheon 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; fresh haddock chowder lunch with roll or crackers or hot dog lunch with chips; both lunches include pickles, drink and dessert.
