Shawnee Peak is proud to announce that every Thursday during the 2006-07 ski season, 10 percent of all lift ticket revenues will be donated to nonprofit groups and charities!
Each participating nonprofit organization is assigned to a specific Thursday. They receive space for a display, promotional consideration and 10 percent of the lift ticket revenue from ticket sales made between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
“We’ve hosted two ‘Nonprofit Days’ to date and the response has been great,” said Josh Harrington, Shawnee Peak’s sales coordinator. “The non-profit group gets exposure and funds, while Shawnee Peak can showcase its exceptional skiing and riding to a whole new group of people.”
Participating nonprofit organizations and their dates are as follows:
Feb. 8 – Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southern Maine
Feb. 15 – Center for Grieving Children
March 1 – Lakes Environmental Association & Loon Echo Land Trust to Benefit Pondicherry Park
March 8 – 7 The Nature Conservancy
March 15 – The Iris Network
