Habitat for Humanity is holding a raffle to win a snowmobile to raise money to complete a home in Naples.

Tickets to win the 2007 MXZ Adrenaline Ski Doo cost $30 each and no more than 350 tickets will be sold

In 2003, the town of Naples gave Habitat for Humanity a plot of land big enough for two homes. One was completed in 2005 and now houses a family of five, according to organizer Kathy Sweet.

The second house has been started and the raffle will help raise money for its completion.

“We need almost $9,000 more to complete the house,” said Sweet.

The winning ticket will be chosen on Feb. 25 at the Sebago Lake Rotary Club’s Ice Fishing Derby.

The snowmobile was given to the charity at cost by Maine Boat and Recreation of Bridgton, according to Sweet.

Other planned fund raising efforts include a bake sale at the North Windham Shaw’s Supermarket on Feb. 10 and a silent auction in Windham on March 30 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. A golf tournament is planned for this summer, but a date has not been set.

Tickets can be purchased at the Bridgton or Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, New England Boat of Bridgton, Coldwell Banker in Naples, Nu-Image in Bridgton, Habitat for Humanity Restore in Portland, at the Ice Fishing Derby or by calling Cindy Rossiter at 591-4294 or Kathy Sweet at 693-3252.
