Mineral Springs – Long before it was a Windham residential neighborhood, it was Samuel Freeman’s Farm, famous for its mineral spring, analyzed as to its chemical content on April 7, 1883 by F.L. Bartlett, state chemist, which appears at the bottom of this poster touting the spring as “The Best in the State.” Believe it or not, the chemist wrote in his analysis that the water from the mineral spring “…is very pure, containing no organic matter.
