The Pond Cove Parents Association in Cape Elizabeth has scheduled two fundraising events for Friday, March 30.

Tickets are now on sale for a raffle, for which many local businesses and individuals have donated prizes. All proceeds will be used to fund Arts Day at the Pond Cove Elementary School, a day where over 30 artists of all types visit Pond Cove classrooms for hands-on creative learning.

Raffle tickets are $2 each, $6 for 1, or $25 for a full sheet of 16. Ticket holders are entered into a drawing for the prize they specify, and prizes will be drawn on March 30. Ticket holders need not be present to win.

The annual Family Bingo Night fundraiser runs from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Pond Cove cafetorium. Prizes include white elephant items, children’s books and toys and other items. Refreshments and baked goods are also available.

Due to recent budget constraints, this year the organization has received a record number of teacher requests for books and other grants, and has exhausted its budget. One hundred percent of the money raised at this event will used to fund grant requests from teachers for innovative educational programming that will benefit Pond Cove students.

All are welcome to attend the event, which will cost $2 per card, or $5 for three cards.
