Buxton police are investigating an accident involving a Buxton fire truck and a rescue unit that happened at 8:55 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Portland Road and Route 202 in Buxton.
Responding to a report of a fire at Long Plains Road, the Buxton ladder truck, driven by Andrew J. Stevenson, 27, of Acton, hit the rescue vehicle, driven by Christopher M. Swenson, 21, of Buxton, in the intersection, according to Buxton police.
The rescue vehicle then struck a 2004 Dodge pickup truck driven by Terry L. Huntley, 57, of Buxton and then continued on, hitting a 2001 Ford pickup truck driven by Lisa L. Lewis, 32, of Waterboro.
The police report said the four drivers were taken to a hospital, treated and released.
Buxton police officers Francis Pulsoni and Kimberly Emery are investigating the accident.
