The Scarborough Rotary Club recently recogned three outstanding Students of the Quarter: Christopher Gregoire, Margaret Palmer and Scott Delisle.

A senior at Scarborough High School, Gregoire was the recipient of the award for the second quarter. He is a member of the National Honor Society, where holds office as secretary; a yearbook editor; band member; Key Club participant and Eagle Scout. He maintains exemplary grades. He is always prepared, always willing and accomplishes his undertakings with a smile. Gregoire will be attending Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., in the fall.

Two Students of the Quarter were recognized from the Scarborough Middle School: Margaret Palmer and Scott Delisle.

Palmer, a student at Scarborough Middle School, has been hard working and conscientious for her three years in middle school, where she is a member of the Sokokis Team. She also works hard to encourage others to work to their fullest potential. She has a positive outlook on school and her future in general. She has participated in community service activities, including helping at a soup kitchen and ringing the bell for the Salvation Army just this past year. She is an active participant in both in school and out-of -school activities, including band, soccer, indoor track, skiing and lacrosse.

As a member of the Abnaki Team at Scarborough Middle School, Delisle is a member of the Builder’s Club, an organization working to better the community through student involvement. He is involved with Operation Cupid to support troops in Iraq. He also represents his class in the student council. Within the community, he is actively involved with the Boy Scouts, the Salvation Army and Lions Club. He demonstrates academic excellence and is consistently on the high honor roll.
