Marhswood Wrestling hosted the annual New England Youth Wrestling Classic on March 31 at the Cumberland County Civic Center. Scarborough’s junior wrestlers were out in force winning several matches along the way.
In the midget class, Christian LaVallee took home an individual championship when he defeated Quinn Fallon from the Warren Wrestling Club by pin at 2:33 of their match in the championship finals.
In the schoolboy division, Logan Mars was the runner-up. Mars made it to the championship finals before falling to Christian Bennett.
Anthony Cofone, wrestling with the Scarborough Independent team, won his bout in the consolation finals of the schoolboy division when he defeated Jared Machado of Timberlane by a final score of 5-4.
