Community chorus in concert
Gorham Community Chorus will present a concert at 7 p.m. on Monday at Prides Corner Congregational Church, 235 Pride St., Westbrook. Donations will be accepted at the door.
Three-day rummage sale
The North Gorham United Church of Christ is sponsoring a rummage sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 10; Friday, May 11; and Saturday, May 12.
After noon on Saturday, shoppers can fill a bag for $1. The church is on Standish Neck Road next door to the fire station.
Dance marathon benefit
Performers at the Centre of Movement School of Performing Arts, 19 State St., are having a 24-hour dance marathon beginning at noon on Saturday, to benefit the Dream Factory.
The Dream Factory fulfills the dreams of critically ill children.
The school is also sponsoring a silent auction in conjunction with the marathon. Donated items for the auction can be taken to the school until noon Saturday. For more information, call Vic Lloyd at 839-DANS (3267).
Topiary class set
Royce O’Donal, founder of O’Donal’s Nurseries, will lead a demonstration of various topiary techniques, Saturday, May 19 (rain date June 2), from 1-3 p.m., at 8 Mitchell Hill Road in Gorham. Tickets for the program, sponsored by Bonny Eagle Adult Education, are $12.

The Gorham Historical Society meets at 7 p.m. on Monday in the Gorham Savings Bank Operational Center off Gray Road.
A Baxter Memorial Library used book sale begins runs Friday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the new municipal center, 75 South St. The library will have thousands of books available. For more information, call the library at 839-5031.

Ralph Strout turned 81 on April 19, Patriot’s Day. Strout has two children and three grandchildren.
