The following cases were handled in District Court in Portland:

May 1

C. R. England, Inc. of Salt Lake City, Utah, paid by waiver a fine of $100 for failing to produce proof of inspection commercial in Scarborough on Feb. 21, 2007.

Horizon Freight System Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio, paid by waiver a fine of $100 for Rule Violation in Scarborough on Feb. 24, 2007.

May 2

Bryon Coombs, 36, of Turner paid by waiver a fine of $500 for Rule Violation, operation without duty record in Scarborough on April 28, 2006. He also paid by waiver a fine of $500 for fatigued driver.

Deborah Leighton, 57, of South Portland requested a jury trial on charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and driving to endanger in South Portland on March 12, 2007.

Ilene Mulkern, 48, of Portland had transferred to Superior Court charges of operating under the influence – two priors, and operating vehicle without a license in Scarborough on April 4, 2006.

Ronald E. Palmer,Sr., 43, of Scarborough had transferred to Superior Court charges of operating under the influence and operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on April 1, 2006.

James P. Redman, 22, of Portland had a charge of possession of marijuana in Scarborough on Jan. 15, 2006 dismissed.

Clayton R. Zambs, 48, of Scarborough requested a jury trial on a charge of operating under the influence in Scarborough on Feb. 23, 2007.

Jason E. Ziminsky, 38, of Bridgton had three charges of Rule Violation, operation with false duty and one charge of Rule Violation, duty status not current in South Portland on Sept. 20, 2005 all dismissed.

May 8

Patrick P. Bard, 25, of Scarborough was found guilty on a charge of operating under the influence – one prior in South Portland on Aug. 10, 2006 and was fined $900, sentenced to Cumberland County Jail for 10 days and had license suspended for 18 months.

Phillip C. Cormier, 23, of South Portland requested a jury trial on two charges of assault, one charge each on obstructing government administration, refusing to submit to arrest or detention in South Portland on March 18, 2007.

Leeanne M. Desbiens, 23, of South Portland requested a jury trial on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer in Westbrook on Nov. 11, 2006.

Jacob T. Flannery, 18, of Scarborough was found guilty on a charge of a minor transporting liquor in Gorham on Dec. 31, 2006 and was fined $250.

Leslie Lawrence, 43, of South Portland paid by waiver a fine of $250 for operating while license was suspended or revoked in South Portland on Jan. 14, 2007. Also paid by waiver a fine of $100 for failure to register vehicle.

Noah Leether, 26, of Portland requested a jury trial on a charge of operating under the influence – no test, one prior in South Portland on March 10, 2007.

Adam D. Miller, 19, of Portland was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in South Portland on March 21, 2007 and was fined $250.

Joseph Peck, 42, of Portland was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in South Portland on March 29, 2006 and was fined $250.

Michael J. Sauve, 38, of Kennebunk was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in South Portland on March 2, 2007 and was fined $250. He was also found guilty on a charge of violating condition of release.

Fred Constantino Wells, 40, of South Portland was found guilty on a charge of operating after registration was suspended in Portland on March 24, 2007 and was fined $150.

John J. Williams, 23, of Standish requested a jury trial on a charge of violating condition of release in South Portland on April 22, 2007.

May 9

Melissa M. Althenn, 20, of China was found guilty on a charge of sale and use of drug paraphernalia in South Portland on March 19, 2006 and was fined $300.

Robert G. Carreiro, 51, of North Dartmouth, Mass., was found guilty on a charge of possession of marijuana in South Portland on Feb. 5, 2007 and was fined $350.

George S. Piel, 33, of Marlborough, Conn., paid by waiver a fine of $500 for Rule Violation, operation without duty record in Scarborough on Feb. 20, 2007.

Orville Dewayne Pinson, 50, of Lavalette, W. Va., paid by waiver a fine of $250 for Rule Violation, duty status not current in South Portland on March 14, 2007.

May 10

Dorothy N. Austin, 39, of Scarborough requested a jury trial on a charge of operating under the influence – one prior in Scarborough.

Roberta A. Bean, 24, of Buxton requested a jury trial on a charge of assault in Scarborough on Nov. 1, 2006.

Tony A. Bennett, 25, of Corinna paid by waiver a fine of $250 for Rule Violation, duty status not current in Scarborough on Feb. 12, 2007.
