Lunch is being served for seniors every Friday through Aug. 14 at 11:30 a.m. at Wentworth Intermediate School in Scarborough.
Community Services Senior Center Without Walls and Scarborough School Nutrition Program are sponsoring the meals, for which reservations are required by Tuesdays. To request a menu or make a reservation, call Community Services at 730-4150. Cost of the meal is $5, and can be paid at the door.
After lunch, bingo is being held at the Hillcrest Recreation Center, 108 Hillcrest Ave. Transportation can be arranged to both of these events upon request by calling Community Services.
Scarborough Community Services is looking for volunteers to serve on the Seniors Program Advisory Board. The advisory board will be responsible for working with Cecelia Duchano, the seniors program coordinator, to evaluate and provide directional advice for development of seniors programs and services. Volunteers are also sought for committees to plan programs and activities for seniors. Volunteer orientation workshops will be offered on July 20, 25 and 30.
