Dr. Randall Krieg, of Windham, has been named vice president for academic affairs at Saint Joseph’s College in Standish. He most recently served as the academic dean for arts and sciences at St. Joseph’s College New York on its Long Island campus in Patchogue, N.Y.

Krieg has also served as the assistant vice president for academic affairs and the director of graduate programs at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D., where he was also an economics professor with expertise in labor economics, ethics and service learning.

Krieg, who began his position on July 1, brings diverse leadership experience to campus. He has a substantial background in institutional assessment, curriculum formulation, accreditation, strategic planning, distance education, study abroad and student academic services.

Krieg has also had experience supervising admissions, student services and career counseling. A widely published economist, he holds a master’s and doctorate in economics from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s in economics and political science from the University of Wisconsin.
