Football
Coach: Kevin Cooper (10th year)
Last Season: 9-1, Lost in Western Maine semifinals
Players to Watch: RB/DB Tyler Pratt, OL/DL Matt Spearin, OL/DL Kyle Wedge, OL/LB, Brandon Keene, OL/DL Josh Spearin, TE/DE Travis Dunn, WR/DB John Onesti, WR/DB Darren Lovley, WR/DB Ricky Hoyt, QB Nate Doehler, RB/DB Josh Ruby, LB/RB Dayton McPherson, OL/DE Dana Jackson, TE/DL Otis Oakes
Coach’s Outlook: “We have an inexperienced team in a sense of many seniors stepping into varsity roles for the first time. There will be some growing pains but we feel we have the talent to compete for a state championship. We are very versatile and multiple on offense. Tyler Pratt, John Onesti, Darren Lovley, Ricky Hoyt and Josh Ruby all have the ability to be both ball carriers and receivers and our QB Nate Doehler should develop into one of the best passer/runner combinations in the SMAA. We have great size on our offensive and defensive lines that should allow our backs to make plays for us.”
Girls Cross Country
Coach: Greg Wilkinson
Last year’s record: 12-5-finished sixth in states
Runners to watch: Sophomores Ashley Cox, Lauren Dudley, Corey Simmons and Keeley Cronin; freshman Amber Dostie
Coach’s outlook: “We lost a lot of seniors. Our top five runners are four sophomores and a freshman. But it’s going to be a lot of fun with no pressure. This is a good league with a lot of quality teams like Scarborough, Cheverus, McAuley, South Portland, Kennebunk, Massabesic and Thornton Academy. But I think we can fit right in with those teams.”
Boys Cross Country
Coach: Thomas Noonan (5th year)
Last year’s record: The team qualified for the state meet.

Players to watch: Amy Richardson, senior, midfield; Megan Kuschke, senior, forward; Becky King, sophomore, forward; Peyton Dostie, freshman, forward
Coach’s outlook: “After losing 11 seniors last year, it is a rebuilding year for us with a lot of underclassmen stepping into key positions.”
Golf
Coach: Chuck Waterman (1st year)
Players to watch: Kevin Moskevich, Brian Moskevich, Kayle Hamilton
Coach’s outlook: “We have a solid team this year that can be competitive and a large group of underclassmen that should continue this trend onward. With some focus and determination we may be able to have some of the top teams in our division take notice.”
Boys Soccer
Coach: Alan Curtis (1st year)
Last year’s record: 6-5-3-lost in quarterfinals
Players to watch: Tyler Shortsleeve, Jamie Ruginski, Lincoln Sanborn
Outlook: The Scots lost a few seniors, but are returning some good athletes. Last year perennial powerhouse Scarborough knocked them out. This year’s team should be a playoff team.
Girls Soccer
Coach: Kerry Townsend (2nd year)
Last year’s record: 3-9-2-missed playoffs
Players to watch: Messina Provencher, Stephanie Stockwell
Outlook: The Scots are a young team that was just two wins shy of the tournament last year. They could find their way in this year if things go right.
