East Grand theft auto

On Aug. 27, at around 4:30 a.m., a resident reported a vehicle that had been left unlocked overnight on East Grand Avenue was entered. A wallet, including $20 cash and credit cards, was stolen.

Don’t pry

On Aug. 28, at around 5 p.m., a representative of Scarborough Muffler Center on Route 1 reported a ’91 Mitsubishi Mirage had been broken into. A window was smashed and there were pry marks on the door. The car incurred $1,500 in damages.

Checks and balances

On Aug. 29, at around 10:15 a.m., a resident of Grasshopper Lane reported two checks had been stolen from the residence. One had been cashed for $600 at TD Banknorth in Brunswick and the other was not accepted because there was not enough money in the account. There is a suspect, but no charges have been made yet.
