Hilton is top Scot

Bonny Eagle High School senior Stephen Hilton, son of Bruce and Cynthia Hilton has been selected as a recipient of the Maine Principals’ Association Principal Award for 2008. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given to high school seniors in recognition of academic achievement and citizenship.

“Stephen is a great guy and a perfect gentleman. He always has a smile on his face and has become a great leader through his actions,” said Bonny Eagle High School Principal Robert Strong. “He is definitely a person students should emmulate.”

Hilton, a senior, at Bonny Eagle High School is involved in several school organizations including, the Key Club, Continuous Improvement Team, Natural Helpers, and the school’s underclassman mentoring program. Hilton is also president of the school’s Thespian Society and Drama Club, and treasurer for both student council and the senior class.

As a junior Hilton was selected for the all-state cast at the Maine One Act Play Festival. He has also performed in plays outside school including “Little Women” at Schoolhouse Arts Center in Sebago Village.

Hilton’s eagerness to be involved is not limited to the classroom. He is involved in raising money and donating time to various charities and non-profit organizations such as The Children’s Miracle Network, the Muscular Distrophy Association, Standish community radio station WJZF, and local food pantries.
