Several local indoor track and field athletes were recently honored with end-of-season awards.
Bonny Eagle High School junior Jamie Ruginski received boys all-state honorable mention from the Maine Track and Cross-Country Coaches Association.
Ben Miklovich of Gray-New Gloucester was named to the Western Maine Conference boys all-star first team in the 55-yard dash.
The Southwestern Maine Activities Association girls all-star team included six Scots. Morgan Costa was selected in the junior 40 (with a time of 5.52 seconds) and junior 200 (28.4). Lauren Dudley was selected in the two mile (11:57.2), Melissa Carrier in the senior 40 (5.37), Peyton Dostie in the junior 200 (29.0), Amber Dostie in the junior 800 (2:31.11) and Stefanie Stockwell in the high jump (5-2). The junior relay team (1:55.3) also received all-star honors.
