The following cases were handled recently in District Court in Portland:

Feb. 15

Brookville Carriers Van GP Inc. of Woodstock was found guilty on a charge of violation of hazardous material regulation in Scarborough on Dec. 8, 2007, and was fined $250.

Gabriel F. Bucataru, 29, of Fredericton, N.B., paid by waiver a fine of $250 for rule violation, failure to possess previous seven days status in Scarborough on Dec. 18, 2007.

Daoud T. Daoud, 36, of Scarborough was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on Jan. 2, and was fined $250.

Steve Gikas, 51, of Saco was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on Jan. 1, and was fined $250.

Yvonne K. Klehn, 29, of Standish had a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on Jan. 6, dismissed.

Theresa M. Lavigne, 26, of Buxton was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on Jan. 6, and was fined $250.

Peter Lund, 38, of Biddeford was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked, prior in Scarborough on Jan. 1, and was fined $500.

Anthony F, Pelott, 42, of Old Saybrook, Conn., paid by waiver a fine of $150 for operating a vehicle without a license in South Portland on Sept. 18, 2006. He also paid by waiver a fine of $100 for attaching false plates.

Christopher Rideout, 24, of Westbrook paid by waiver a fine of $100 for unlawful use of license in South Portland on Oct. 18, 2007.

David F. Strickland, 29, of Tremont was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on Nov. 28, 2007, and was fined $250.

Feb. 19

Daniel M. Cavallero, 30, of South Portland was found guilty on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer in South Portland on Jan. 13, and was fined $250.

Laurence C. Ferguson, 46, of Carlisle, Pa., paid by waiver a fine of $750 for rule violation, operation with false duty in Scarborough on Dec. 14, 2007.

Eric J. Friberg, 37, of South Portland had a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Portland on Jan. 5 dismissed. He was found guilty on a charge of possession of marijuana and was fined $350.

Edwin White, 19, of Wells was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on Nov. 28, 2007, and was fined $250.

Feb. 20

Jon Burdick, 53, of Bradenton, Fla., requested a jury trial on a charge of operating under the influence – no test in South Portland on Jan. 4.

Mayang R. Deng, 38, of Portland requested a jury trial on charges of operating under the influence – no test, one prior and operating a vehicle without a license in South Portland on Dec. 7, 2007.

Simon L. Kong, 25, of Portland requested a jury trial on charges of operating under the influence -one prior and operating a vehicle without a license in South Portland on Jan. 9.

Brian O’Reilly, 49, of Scarborough had a charge of possession of marijuana in Scarborough on Feb. 1 dismissed.

Paul Bryant Reid, 40, of Hampton, Va., paid by waiver a fine of $250 for Rule violation, operating 14 hour rule in Scarborough on Dec. 18, 2007.

Robert L. Talbot, 50, of Gorham requested a jury trial on a charge of operating under the influence – one prior in Scarborough on Jan. 1. He also requested a jury trial on a charge of violating condition of release in Westbrook on Jan. 26.

Transit LLC Mayflower of Fenton, Mo., requested a jury trial on a charge of failing to obtain operating authority license in Scarborough on Nov. 16, 2007.

Feb. 21

Demar Omar Martinez, 29, of South Portland requested a jury trial on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked – OUI in Portland on April 23, 2007.

Feb. 22

Steven M. Adams, 49, of Enosburg Falls, Vt., paid by waiver a fine of $250 for rule violation, duty status not current in South Portland on Jan. 16.

Enkhsaikhan Battulga, 31, of Los Angeles, Calif., paid by waiver a fine of $250 for rule violation, duty status not current in Scarborough on Dec. 18, 2007.

Matthew Crepeau, 23, of Biddeford was found guilty on a charge of operating while license was suspended or revoked in Scarborough on Dec. 6, 2007, and was fined $250. He was found guilty on a charge of unlawful use of license and was fined $250. A charge of failing to make oral or written accident report was dismissed.
