The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony and official opening of the newly built Raymond-Casco Historical Society Museum Sunday, July 27, at 10 a.m.

The museum is located on Route 302 in Casco next to the Watkins Farm, a red barn with a 30-foot painted mural painted on side depicting life as it was in Raymond and Casco during the 1800s.

The new museum serves to preserve the history of Raymond and Casco for generations to come. There will be guided tours after the dedication until 2 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Watkins gave the land, built the building and commissioned artist Tom Merriam to create the mural.

This mural depicting life in 19th century Raymond marks the site of the new museum for the Raymond-Casco Historical Society. The museum will be deicated Sunday, July 27, at 10 a.m.
