‘Old Peabody Pew’ at Tory Hill

The Dorcas Society of Buxton and Hollis will present its production of “The Old Peabody Pew” at 7 p.m. on Sunday in the Tory Hill Meeting House, intersection of routes 202 and 112, Buxton.

The romantic comedy by Kate Douglas Wiggin is an annual holiday tradition in Buxton. The snow date is Dec. 14. Admission is $5/$2.50.

Rabies clinic

Buxton Town Clerk John Myers has announced a rabies clinic for dogs and cats to be held 1-3 p.m. on Saturday in the Bar Mills Fire and Rescue Station, 180 Portland Road, across from Buxton Town Hall.

The clinic is sponsored by Hollis Animal Clinic, the towns of Buxton and Hollis and the Vacationland Dog Club. All dogs must be on a leash and cats in carriers. Residents of all communities are welcome. Cost is $8 per vaccination. For more information, call 929-6171.

Wreaths to honor vets

South Buxton Cemetery Association will place wreaths on graves of veterans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, simultaneously with 300 other cemeteries around the country as part of Wreaths Across America.
