SOUTH PORTLAND — John Keith Thibodeau, 70, died Dec. 14 at his residence. He was born on Dec. 8, 1938, the son of Beatrice Thibodeau.
He graduated from Portland High School in 1958.
Following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the North Atlantic and stateside.
On Aug. 29, 1962, he married Donna Marilyn Palmer.
He worked as a bus driver for Portland Coach, Greyhound and was a school bus driver for 12 years with the city of South Portland, retiring in 2005. He maintained a perfect safety record for his entire career.
He was a member of the Portland Eagles F.O.E. 565, and enjoyed time with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, golf and following football and baseball.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Donna of 39 years on April 5, 2002.
He is survived by his son, William J. Winslow and his wife Heidi of Sanford; and three grandchildren, Joseph, Kevin, and Ryan Winslow, all of Sanford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 19 at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A burial with military honors will follow at Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.
