FREEPORT — Wolfe’s Neck Farm has started a Farmer for the Morning program for preschool-age children. The program will run every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. through April 15, 2009.
Children will do farm chores with the farm education staff, they will feed and visit the animals and read farm stories and participate in crafts.
The children will learn about the sheep, goats, rabbits, cows, chickens and guinea hens that live at the farm on Burnett Road.
The cost is $5 per session, and season passes are available. The fee supports the animal education program at the farm at 184 Burnett Road. For more information, call 865-4469 or 865-4363 or visit wolfesneckfarm.org.
