BRUNSWICK — Florence Ellen Rose, 83, died Feb. 11 at Parkview Adventist Medical Center.
She was born in Wiscasset on Dec. 24, 1925, daughter of Raymond and Erma (Chamberlain) Hamlin and attended Wiscasset and Brunswick schools.
She worked for various businesses, including a hatchery, a laundromat and a variety store.
She was predeceased by her sister Beverly Erskine.
Surviving are her children, Patricia Lemont and her husband Donald of Brunswick, and Donald Rose of Newberry, S.C; her brother Raymond Hamlin Jr., of Bowdoinham; grandchildren, Donald Lemont Jr., and his wife Laura of South Portland, Karen Woods and her husband Rodney of Richmond, Charles Lemont of Brunswick, Lori Smith and her husband Donald of Brunswick and Ivy Rose of Newberry, S.C.; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandson.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
