Madison Leadley, daughter of Amey and Willis Leadley of Scarborough, won the school-level National Geographic Bee held Jan. 9 at Scarborough Middle School. A sixth-grader on the school’s Penobscot Wing, Madison competed against the top finishers in each classroom.

Runner-up was Trevor Murray, son of Claudia and Jeff Murray of Scarborough. He is an eighth-grader on the Abanaki Wing.
