Mid Coast Hospital
offers scholarships

BRUNSWICK — The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary’s Health Career Scholarship applications are available to local graduating high school seniors who will be majoring in a health-care related program.

Continuing Education Scholarships are also available to local individuals who have graduated from high school or college and are seeking an advanced degree in the health care field.

Deadline for applications is April 15.

Local students earn
good citizen awards

TOPSHAM — The Daughters of the American Revolution, Topsham-Brunswick Chapter, has named seven high school seniors in the Midcoast Area as DAR Good Citizens.

The students include Clare Baecher of Brunswick, Brunswick High School; Steve Tringali of Topsham, Mt. Ararat High School; Katherine Birdselle of Georgetown, Morse High School; Margaret Myers of Freeport, Freeport High School; Leigh Johnson of Yarmouth, Yarmouth High School; Bryan Kemp of Phippsburg, The Hyde School; and Alesis Bragg of Conway, N.H., Pine Tree School.

The students will be honored during an awards reception held April 28 at the Holden-Frost House in Topsham.

McDonald named Mt. Ararat
student of the month

TOPSHAM — Sophomore Shane McDonald of Topsham was recently named the Most Improved Student of the Month at Mt. Ararat High School.
McDonald was nominated by French teacher Ms. Ellyn Ballou in recognition of his improved efforts.
