Jotul North America of Gorham is among six Maine companies to receive the 2009 Governor’s Award for Business Excellence.

Other winners were GHM Agency of Waterville; Hallowell International of Bangor; Hammond Tractor Co. of

Fairfield; Lie-Nielsen Toolworks Inc. of Warren, and Nason Mechanical Services of Auburn.

“This year’s honorees represent the innovative spirit that has earned Maine a reputation for top-quality workmanship, service and a commitment to excellence,” said Gov. John Baldacci.

The business award is administered by the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development and sponsored by FairPoint

Communications. The award recognizes Maine companies that demonstrate a high level of commitment to their community, employees, and to manufacturing or service excellence.
