PORTLAND — American Civil Liberties Union President Susan Herman is scheduled to speak May 6 at the Maine School of Law.

Herman, a centennial professor of law at Brooklyn Law School and an expert on the Supreme Court and criminal procedure, will deliver a speech called “Torture, Terrorism and Civil Liberties Under President Obama”.

The event, sponsored by the Maine Civil Liberties Union, is open to the public and begins at 12:15 p.m. May 6 in the Middle Classroom at the Law building, 246 Deering Ave. There will be free pizza and refreshments.
