FALMOUTH — Four candidates have returned nomination papers for the Falmouth Town Council election this spring.

Fred Chase, of 5 Stagecoach Road, and Mark Soule, of 42 Johnson Road, will challenge two incumbents, Chairman Will Armitage and Vice Chairman Joe Wrobleski. Armitage and Wrobleski have served on the council for the past three years; they are running for their second, three-year terms. Councilors’ term limits are two consecutive three-year terms.

The race for Falmouth School Board will be uncontested, unless someone mounts a write-in campaign.

Andrew Kinley, of 157 Longwoods Road, and Rachel Reed, of 147 Hunters Way, have declared their candidacies for the two School Board positions being vacated by Chairwoman Beppie Cerf and Kathy Hillman Reed, both of whom termed out after serving on the board for the past six years.

Municipal elections to determine the new councilors and School Board members will be held on Tuesday, June 9. That election will also include a referendum question to approve the school budget.
