On Monday, May 25, the Chiropractic Family Wellness Center in cooperation with the Eastern Trail Alliance is sponsoring the Snowy Egret 5K run/walk to benefit Scarborough Marsh

Audubon Center.

The run/walk will start at 9 a.m. at the marsh Audubon Center on Route 9 and finish at Peterson Field on Old Blue Point Road. Entrance fee is $12 in advance and $15 the day of the race.

The first 100 registrants will receive free event T-shirts, which

participants can pick up with their numbers May 23 and 24 at Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center.

Also on Monday, at 8:30 a.m. a “fun run” for kids will start and finish at the Pine Point end of the Eastern Trail on Route 9. Entrance fee for this activity is $2.

Runner services include water stops, refreshments, toilet facilities,

split times and mile markers. Prizes including Maine Audubon memberships and gift certificates for merchandise and programs at Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center will be raffled off throughout the morning. After the race, massages and spinal screenings will be available courtesy of the Chiropractic Family Wellness Center.
