The Cape Elizabeth High girls took third at Saturday’s Western Maine Conference track championship in Yarmouth.

The Capers scored 90 points. York won with 190 points while Greely was second with 128.

On the boys side, Cape finished 14th with 10 points. Falmouth won with 172, far ahead of runner-up Sacopee Valley (77).

Event winners for the Cape girls were Rachel Nichols in both the 1,600- and 800-meter runs, Marita Stressenger in the 3,200 and Emma Hockmuth in the pole vault.

The Class B state championship is scheduled for Saturday at Mount Desert Island High School, starting at 10 a.m.
