Join Loon Echo Land Trust Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m., on a casual walk through the Mayberry Hill Preserve in Casco . Bird watching, plant identification and forestry practices will be discussed. Be sure to bring your camera, water and bug spray. Mayberry Hill is comprised of 160 acres of mixed woodlands, meadows and streams. The land was donated to Loon Echo in 1990 and soon after the preserve was established. This hike will be one to two hours in length. Directions to the Mayberry Hill Preserve: Take 121 into Casco Village, turn right on Mayberry Hill Road and drive to the top of the hill. Turn left at the stop sign. The preserve is a short distance on the right. For more information on this and other Loon Echo events, contact Jon Evans, stewardship and volunteer coordinator at 647-4352 or jon@lelt.org.
